I’ll never find it again but I did see something while scrolling about fixes coming to the Steam version of Red Alert 2.

Oh wow steam updated family sharing so that multiple people can play games at the same time? No more kicking someone off a game when you want to play one!

How will it handle it if say, I’m playing Infinite Wealth on my Steam Deck, suspend it, a family member boots up the game on their PC, and then I wake up my Steam Deck?

The chances of Dragon Age 4 turning out good seem slim but I guess Inquisition was decent, if overly bloated

Probably the same that happens now. It kicks one person off steam theoretically. In practice it doesn’t seem to behave that way consistently. It usually affects you when you go to start a new game and need to log back into steam.

The one thing I really wish the new family group thing did better was allowing games. It's either go through 2000 games and pick the ones you want to allow or allow them all. Let me filter by tags or age rating or something geez

You can have multiple copies in the family library, so if you have 2 copies, any 2 family members can play at the same time. They also allow you to filter what is being shared, so you can see your actual library vs shared library.

THQ Nordic definitely sounds familiar, I'm pretty sure they've developed some actually decent games in the past. e: oh I guess they're a publisher? Well, I'm pretty sure they've been associated with acceptable games, at least.

How do Alone in the Dark games keep getting made? Have any of the games been well-regarded aside from the very first one, back when "3-D graphics" was a major selling point? I mean, sure, companies love rebooting IPs, but I can't imagine the name gets many people excited.

I like PC Gamer, and they seem to have called it a qualified success. I wonder how the perspectives are differing here. Edit: skipping to the end of the PC Gamer review, they're starting a second playthrough even though they're done playing it for the review; there's not really higher praise someone that has to play a constant slew of new games for their job can give. in my mind, Alone in the Dark has always been the precursor franchise to Resident Evil and Silent Hill notable for its unplayably bad gameplay and having an Uwe Boll movie

Last year they published Jagged Alliance 3, Trine 5, Spellforce: Conquest of Eo and that Commandos-like train game. Last Train or something. That’s a solid year out of a AA-publisher for me - those are good to great games. Shame about this game.

The big problem with AitD: The combat sucks a lot, it feels out of place, it isn't tense or scary, it's poorly designed, the entire game would unironically be twice as good if it had no combat. The combat is so lazy and half assed that in the review build gunfire has a literal half-second delay after the first shot that somehow wasn't fixed.

So just curious - how many games are in your wishlist/ followed list? I basically use my wishlist as my store page, so I don't have to search through random crap. I wishlist anything that looks interesting even if I'm not 100% sure I'll actually buy it. Wishlist: 779 games Followed (I use this for future releases, early access and free games): 865. I own about 1600.

I also have 100+ games wish listed because wish listing soothes that digital content desire to just hit Buy Now. See a neat game? Cool put it on the wish list, I acted on the impulse. (((And then never buy it)))
