It came up in the thread when the trailer was going around and people had hoped it was only for the trailers. It sucks since it's not even particularly good AI art. They could have used that as a concept and then paid someone a legitimately cheap amount to remake it with extra clarity and detail.

I watched the first two episodes of Netflix's 3 body problem and what the gently caress it's really good so far? Benedict Wong and super hot lady ( like approaching peak Jay) definitely help. I don't know how they'll ever make the anime ninja big titty robot less embarassing if they get to it, but it already feels much less 4 Chan engineering student overall. Between this and GOT maybe Benioff and Weiss are just genuinely really good at toning down if not removing author's Incel tendencies?

It seems like they're making it a mystery box show, so if it takes 2-3 years between seasons, the prospect of that is so exhausting that I don't even want to start it.
