But the “what the gently caress is up with this little weirdo” energy makes up for it IMO. Next chapter is a bit of a time capsule into mid-90’s home computing in a country where desktop computing still hasn’t really achieved very good penetration even 30 years later. (What is this “double click” of which you speak?)

The Jungle Patrol has absolute blind loyalty to the point of absurdity so this entire multi-month weekend story arc has been The Phantom dropping monster condoms so that his subordinates think he has a magnum dong. He probably should've led with the cool artifacts. I guess the stated or implied reason is he wanted to reinforce the mystique of the Unknown Commander before anyone with a three digit IQ asked questions.
