There is an item you can buy (I think it's in Marnie shop) that lets you buy stuff from her shop when she isn't there. I snapped that up as soon as I saw it.

Clint sucks but I wouldn't be averse to some content where he grows past being a creep to Emily, gains some self esteem, gets a hobby he enjoys, and maybe meets someone from out of town with a singles ad or something, goes on a date, and then it doesn't work out but at least he deals with it in a more healthy way. I would also like Sandy to be a bachelorette, I would like to overthrow Lewis as mayor, and I would like a year three divorce of either Robin / Demetrius or Pierre / Caroline. You should be able to then romance either part of the broken up couple, I don't know who would choose to romance Pierre but I guess it could be funny and you should be able to make bad decisions besides Shane.

She just does all the festivals because she genuinely loves Stardew Valley and just hates her overbearing parents. "Escaping" to the Farm with the Farmer is the best thing she's done in her life, because she gets to be on her own, still go adventuring in the Cave, AND live on the old farm she loved exploring. Also the correct response to anyone telling you that they themselves are a "nice person" is to hit them with a brick and save someone else some emotional trauma they would inflict.

IMO Clint's fixation with Emily is just one expression of him not being good mentally. I'm sure he did horribly on the date because he believes being with Emily will relieve his misery but it won't. He pictures Emily as the manic pixie dream girl that will save him from himself but that's a fantasy, not just a fantastical projection of her but a projection of the different person he would be with her. The good, generous, loving, charming, happy, "nice guy" he wishes he was but actually isn't, and won't be just because he's near a girl who is momentarily tolerating him. In reality even if he's Clint with Emily he'll still be Clint and he hates that guy.
