Part of it is that people will always think of her as the "it goes in the square hole" lady. So any time there's something reminiscent of the original or they riff on the joke, her mentions get filled up as people tag her in the comments for this new thing. Once you've made a viral thing, people will not let you stop being that viral thing. May as well ride it and have fun.

I can't be arsed to look for it but people do themed npc stuff now, and there's a guy who plays spider man where if you send a galaxy emoji (that costs money) he has to say something about the multiverse then jump out of the shot, disappear for a few seconds then jump in again. a guy in his audience timed it so that every time he jumps back into the shot he'd get hit with the galaxy emoji. it became a constant stream of the spider man dude jumping in and out with no other interaction and you could see him visibly getting irritated and winded
