The Fool posted:used to do this until some rear end in a top hat made it so commit messages directly correlated to changelog entries i used to write careful and detailed commit messages until we started doing this. i do think a well-tended commit history can be useful but if i have to publish a changelog i'd rather just cram poo poo in there so i don't have to write changelogs
