That got posted in a reddit thread and somebody did a deep dive on the data source and a large part of it is from a predictive model so it's most likely just a fault in the model cropping up. There's no way an 80ft wave the size of a small country happened just off the coast of south Africa and nobody noticed otherwise.

Thanks all. 2-3 weeks ago she was still perfectly fine, and now it looks like it's a stage 4 (liver is hit as well) so today I feel like I'm going through all the stages of grief at the same time. I'm glad we live close to her and spent a lot of time together with the kids in the recent years, but I'm not going to lie, I'm afraid of what is coming.
