i say swears online posted:i remember the ending blowing my mind as a kid and i really liked the ramza/delita juxtaposition The ending was very good (great twist with Delita and Ovelia); I'm just not a fan of the last series of battles. I like the earlier chapters more because I felt they were more grounded. One of the themes of the game is, "Who needs demons when humans are this brutal to each other?" I like that more than "it was a demon behind all these complex structures the whole time." But then again it was 1997, it was super ahead of its time, etc etc, and I do genuinely love playing it so much.

delita did nothing wrong but as a kid I did like the framing of a historian figuring out the Real Story and ramza being forgotten, presumably because Delita won and got to rewrite things. the game does a good job blending ramza's relationship with his family along with church/state politics.
