Incorrect. He's not a good promo (he's been getting better for a while now though), but he has always been able to go in the ring and put on awesome matches with a variety of dudes.

It seems like he's taking what was given with this whole situation and running with it, and I can't wait to see what TK does with him when he gets back with the roster :)

Jack Perry rules, always ruled (Jurrasic Express was my kid's OG favorite and they and OC got my wife to watch AEW) and EMF has Cody derangement and hates JB because, unlike inferior pillars MJF and Sammy, he wasn't a hand picked Cody kid. Jack does cool moves and is handsome.

Jack Perry has always been good and the heel turn did him well but I think this brief New Japan tour did him wonders as it wasn't just the Chicago match where he did really well. His Japan matches also were good. Just helped him with the character stuff which was the final piece of the puzzle and I think Tony probably should look at sending some of the other young guys that could use some polish on a short tour of either Japan or to work CMLL in Arena Mexico/Coliseo

I keep seeing criticism about the whole All In footage and how Jack Perry would be dead in the water because he'd be antagonizing someone who isn't in the company anymore. It hit me watching his match last night that Jack is essentially post-Montreal Shawn Michaels.

- Wrestler leaves company in a very controversial way involving a lot of tension coming to a head and a backstage fight.

- The guy running the company shows extra footage on TV in an attempt to make the wrestler look like a self-serious, violent pissbaby, but many say that doing so was a bad idea that didn't do the owner any favors.

- The close allies left behind make the incident part of their story, not that it amounts to much. I have faith that FTR will come out of this way better than Anvil and not be killed by negligence like Owen.

- There's a heel wrestler in the heart of the situation and no matter how quiet or loud the company was about the incident, it was always going to be the elephant in the room for this guy going forward. ESPECIALLY going into the homeland of the wrestler who left. So he harnesses the heat to become a louder piece of poo poo and uses it to get over the next feud.

Anyway, countdown to Punk vs. Goldberg at Crown Jewel.

It's funny that if you took someone out of the loop and showed them a picture of Mox and then asked which of the two wrestlers in that match was his protege, they would probably guess wrong.

Jack only started getting over serious after the Cody match open challenge, I don’t like JB because of his weird arms

e: wait it was 2015. sorry everyone.

That sounds nice. We were supposed to drive from PA to Chicago in 2015 for a Rainer Maria show but there ended up being a massive snow storm and we couldn’t go. Luckily we got to see them in Philly later that year and again in 2016.

I know your narrative is "Cody is the only one who got anyone over" (and the open challenge era was great but everything after he did the opposite of getting people over) but this is wrong. Both the Jericho 10 minute title match and the vs MJF PPV opener were before the Cody match, and the latter really got everyone to sit up and notice both MJF and Jack since you couldn't argue it was just a vet carrying them. Plus Jurassic Express was a pretty popular act.

THREE TIME! THREE TIME!
Legitimate question: How is posting about a show that already finished airing spoilers? Like, you gotta realize that people are going to discuss the AEW wrestlers in the AEW thread even if they're doing something in an affiliated company.

On The Internet

I think the request is to just put a spoiler tag for a day or two in results from another company. Different timezones makes it hard for everyone to watch live

Barry Bluejeans

ATTENTHUN THITIZENTH
it's common practice to not immediately discuss NJPW results even if they're AEW-related, as the shows usually air at a time when most folks here can't watch them live

that wasn't the case with Windy City Riot, but since it was on a Friday night I can understand the annoyance of those who had plans being spoiled before they got a chance to catch up

Yeah, not "spoilers" in the traditional sense, just the idea that it would be polite to tag major stuff for a day if the show for another company ended late the night before. No big deal.

BAWWW-UNH!
There's plenty of people who can't watch shows live so don't be an rear end in a top hat and talk about stuff that happened less than 24 hours ago in threads that aren't directly related.

But that just my ruling.

DeepDickPizza

THREE TIME! THREE TIME!
I dunno. Due to my work/life schedule, I watch almost nothing live so I'm pretty immune to caring about spoilers at this point. It's just crazy to me that people are upset that someone posted about Jon Moxley, the Ace of AEW, in the AEW thread after he did a major thing. If you're that sensitive to spoilers that live results piss you off, you gotta take that extra precaution yourself and not expect other people to do it for you, yeah?

BAEST MODE!!!
If a show is on in US Primetime you just can't expect people are going to not excitedly post about it in related threads. People are used to doing that. If a New Japan show airs at 4 AM Eastern Time, there is definitely a little more tact expected to not immediately post because the majority of poster on this forum aren't awake yet. But when the official AEW accounts are posting it, it's hard to say DON'T POST THIS! Tony Khan wants you to know about it, I will not reject his message.
