I was a little cold on the Tarkovsky one (as someone who loves Stalker and Andrei Rublev) but a lot of people like it, it's worth checking out

It's really good. Does a good job of making the fact that everyone is haunted by their psychological obsessions the point, instead of a drier scifi thing. Like the planet is a mirror, and it's very easy to get stuck in a personal hell when trying to study it

I keep.on thinking I'll like the Clooney version more everything I see it.it has all the poo poo I like interesting philosophy, difficult morality conundrums, a cool soundtrack while people stare but I dunno it never grabbed me. Its just a lot of movie for what it's about.

It seems like he wrote it as a cool down while working on Poor Things post production too which is exactly how the Cohens wrote Burn After Reading

I have high expectations for the stuff auteurs put together to blow off steam because it's just a little bit closer to the unfiltered source
