This is all what made the show good. We aren't arguing about what the show did (sort of) but what the right choice for the characters was.

Great advice. Get married to the unemployed guy twice your age because he knocked you up instead of becoming a functional adult.

If finding happiness isnt apart of it i dont want to be a functional adult. it all just seems like "But what will the NEIGHBORS think!? Her With LUCKY?!" just so shallow and just as childish. Leave them alone.

And wasn't it even a decent amount of time between his first and second appearance? His first one is when Khan is trying to be "white trash" because I guess it would be better for Connie's chances at getting in to a good school/get a scholarship, right? Then he meets Lucky and the gang and they go "stickin'", which is some sort of 2x4-based street fighting tournement.

Look, we should be grateful Luanne and Lucky's marriage is probably better than her parents'. At least Lucky isn't a full-on career criminal that Luanne is gonna stab with a fork in an act of drunken domestic violence. It's not a high bar, but by God they cleared it

I have a message from Jesus, something about how you suck at beauty school, except worded nicer. Here it is: "Luanne, you really suck at beauty school. Drop out. Love, Jesus." Hm. He underlined "really." Guess it wasn't nicer.

I think it helps they're both idiots, they're on the same wavelength and don't get frustrated with each other. Actually kinda some themes about relationships and how they work vs don't work in a lot of Mike Judge and adjacent stuff. Hank and Peggy almost seem like an odd couple at times, but they have a lot in common when you look at their behaviour, and challenge each other in constructive ways. There's a period where Lucky and Luanne are just mooching in Hank's Den with no real plan for anything, until Luanne gets back into haircutting. Which is almost a little out of character for Hank to just be okay with that, since it's before she's pregnant I think

Mantis42 posted:yea. "she's happy!" sure, for now. Pig Man made her happy for a while too. Don't let your daughter marry a 40 year old unemployed leech Luanne isn't Peggy's daughter. Luanne is the daughter of a drunken domestic abuser who married a career criminal she stabbed with a fork and tipped their trailer over. She's a community college dropout part-time hairdresser who puts on Christian puppet shows. She married up. Not MUCH up, but a tiny bit up. Lucky's a loser, but she could have done way way worse. That said, in hindsight she probably should have just gotten married to that Rhett Vandergraff guy from the born-again virgin episode. Dude thought with his dick, but he seemed stable enough

I know some people who worked at a Frito Lay factory and they were given plenty of bathroom breaks, this must have been some sort of piss disaster. They also gave me some of the chips with too much flavor on em that they had to pull, and the chips *were* pretty magical.
