What is the deal with unique items? Do you pick them up on specific quests, or are they all random drops? If you lose one is there a chance it'll drop again (I'm guessing the clue is in the name, so no). I've probably sold some because I would unload inventory into storage then sell them by colour at the end of the session, not really noticing the little glow around the edges. I don't know what I missed, and I'm only level 66, so it's not that big a deal - but eventually realising was annoying. No wonder I'm filthy rich.

They're rarer legendaries. If you've looked at an item and vendored or mulched it without a second thought it's incredibly unlikely to be a unique and even if you did that just speaks to how uhm, not really that uniquely good some of them are, especially for certain builds. Here's a list, you can get them again RNGesus permitting and you'll know to pay attention and care about them when you start a designated uber dropping activity like farming Uber Duriel. They can drop from anything still but some of the rates for things like uber uniques are "lol, lmao."

fwiw most uniques are also useless and when you do get a useful unique to drop, most of the time the roll(s) that need to be maxed are not and so it's still useless. i typically find 5-10 of each unique that i need before getting one that i'll use long term. they are unique in that you can only equip one of each (only really applicable to rings and some weapons) and that they can have unique stat distributions on them (e.g. CDR on a weapon or something) you won't see any uber uniques outside of killing uber duriel, who you only kill explicitly because you're looking for the uber uniques he drops, so you won't overlook and mulch one

Took my LVL 89ish HOTA barb for his inaugural Duriel run the other day. Dropped him on the 3rd bonk. Of the 4 or 5 helms that can drop, 3 of them are in some way useful for that build, with Tuskhelm being the more desirable non-uber and Harlequin probably being BiS So I got an Andy's Visage of course.

Hey it's Uber at least! I've been pretty lucky. Got a doombringer last season (good for all sword classes but especially for the Barb build I had) and a Shako this season (BiS for any build pretty much). Oh and apologies to the goons that wanted to try the 4 party leaderboard. I haven't logged on in awhile but will try tonight or tomorrow.

The guy lorath or whatever who's the horadrim is like kinda old but not elderly and he was at least like a 20 something kid in d3 so yeah maybe 40 years at most probably.

90% of humans were wiped out - everyone needs to do their part and make babies ASAP. Demons still gonna try and eat everyone regardless, Angels are completely hosed (and honestly its probably better for us), and everyone's happy that Inarius + Lilith is out of the picture. I guess rolling over and dying might be a better option too.

The bar for a good story in an arpg is really low. I just wish NPC interactions didn't involve in a cutscene, but were just voice acted dialog boxes like how it worked in Diablo II. Save the fancy cutscenes for in between acts.

Back end of Act 3 when you go to hell and Azmodan is like "start torturing the bound hell giants to power us up" and they're in the background of the helltowers and it's kinda cool but the spider demon boss is pretty weak and he keeps doing the skype calls every other area and aside from the slightly harder tile-set and different enemies it doesn't really do anything so it's all narrative hype building. D3 had some cool ideas for atmosphere despite the endless fan complaints but didn't nail using them consistently until Act 5 an expac later.
