It was a boring WCW style match in front of a crowd that wanted WWF and WWF style matches, but more importantly, WWF stars. Putting a guy WCW elevated too late vs a midcarder as your first big title match was not going to work. It wasn't put out there to die, they had actual plans and they changed all of the plans. Vince is evil, but he's also sometimes just stupid.

Vince is evil, but he's also sometimes just stupid. the WCW thing, whatever they did, was gonna fail because 1) they didn't bother to shell out money for the bigger stars and 2) they loving buried DDP, one of their biggest homegrown guys, to make an example of. it was 100% just a device to poo poo on WCW while weeding out who among them would actually get over (in that case, it was mainly RVD)

I do kinda of want to see the world where Viacom did agree to let Raw become a WCW show cause man I think it would of dropped bad in the ratings even if they had the stars. Just would of been an all time bad idea even if the product was done right

drake diss songs are awesome in that they run from "you worry about not being black enough and you're a deadbeat dad" in a very serious but not deep way [pusha-t's "story of adidon"] to "you're not black enough to say the n-word, and you shouldn't be around children" in a very serious but deep way [kendrick's work] but for real, the story of adidon is maybe the meanest diss since "hit em up" and i love seeing drake get tuned up a bit
