It is not free, merely very cheap, but Arkane's Prey (2017) is a very good game. An immersive sim in an art-deco space world, and is quite clever to boot. One of my favourite games. I think this discount is live due to Arkane Austin (who made it) being closed recently. Now you'll have to buy all DLCs, you fool! But really IIRC only Guardians is a general expansion "finishing" the game, everything else is a new faction bringing a gimmick for all to use, YMMV if this improves the game.

There's a different piece of machinery on the modhub that almost certainly does what you want. Go look for it. If your kid is playing you only have to the "government subsidy" mod which gives you the option of get tens of thousands of dollars "a day" or "hundreds of thousands" by putting a small sign on your farm. It's basically infinite money. Download the mods here https://www.farming-simulator.com/mods.php?lang=en&country=us and put them in the mod folder, then re-load your save. Or get them via the in-game menu at the start screen. There's no "trick" to FS22 appearing on Epic. They're almost certainly releasing a new Farm Sim at some point before Christmas. If this gets its hooks in you you'll want to buy the new game. And the current game isn't "Dated." Giants are a good developer.

I really enjoyed my time in FS19. I step in to play it here and there for a few hours. I'm big on modding so installed a few mods that let you set everything up so you can sit back and watch or then take control from any of your hirelings. Fun stuff. Also free on EGS.
