It's more fun if you imagine "cheese" in scare quotes every time it's said Hold the unsalted "cheese" against your bad teeth

I’m relistening to the Soylent episode for the first time in years and hadn’t realized the document submitter was that R.S. Benedict. I’ve been binging through Rite Gud lately so that’s a nice little confluence

That ep got me to listen back to the coffee enema ep which was charming by comparison, at least that was about conning people out of their money and not immediately endangering them with the product.

Alright, adding Rite Gud to my list of podcasts

Honestly this is a level of self-harm that makes me almost as uncomfortable as a pro-ana episode would, with the only difference being that it's all dudes hurting themselves. (Does this mean that if someone found an all-male pro-ana community that would be fair game?)

I mean, I don't think it's gender, I think it's deliberate (if sometimes subconscious) versus delusional self-harm issues? I suppose the line where extreme orthorexia becomes deliberate if unacknowledged self-harm is up for debate, though, and I think it's fair to avoid those episodes. (The nopoo one was a bit better because the harm in question was just really bad hair.)

It is definitely a step above something that is "dangerous, but also hilarious" (like all day coffee enemas)

Sentient Data posted:It's called atrocity tourism for a reason, i don't think it crossed any lines that previous episodes haven't Agreed, not sure how this is worse than the carnivore episode. Also it's kinda weird to go immediately to "well what if proana but men?!??!?" about a podcast that has done a good job of veering away from easy targets, aside from a few episodes that have aged badly, largely due to the hosts not being 20-somethings and also it no longer being 2008.

In a brief change from the raw meat stuff, does anyone remember off-hand what episode it is that has Frank West cracking up over a thing he was reading that had like a cartoon horse image that was saying something along the lines of "Yup, we're a bona fide financial institution!"
