Battle for Wesnoth is a free game but it's probably better than almost any turn-based game on PC if you are looking for a fairly simple game where your army beats up another one. All of the campaigns are pretty challenging, and if you have a friend to play it with the Multiplayer works pretty well.

I like blood bowl legendary edition, it's like football for british nerds who have never played american football before and are just adapting their warhammer minis to what they think is american football. also there's a new game coming out apparently? and wasteland 2 is also turn based combat get that it's good.Scyther posted:its full of rng bs seriously the rng is such bs in that game. yes i loving love when i failed a mission due to my hero dying to a random loving peasant this is definitely good design.
