Alexander the great is dead. The world will never see his like again. In his wake his generals have decided his empire amongst themselves, but they are already at each other's throats, none are content with the riches they have won themselves, and all strive to claim all their for we king once claimed. But they are not the only rising power, a small, insignificant city in Italy is expanding aggressively. Many have not heard of Rome, but they are organized and driven. I northern Africa, Carthage sends it's ships to trade across the medderterrainian, bringing in riches and slaves, but how long until they collide with the other growing powers. The barbarians of northern Europe may not be civilised, but they are numerous, and a strong leader could band them together and become a force to be reckoned with. One thing is sure, the fate of these nations will be decided on the Field of Glory. Welcome to Field of Glory: Empires. This is a upcoming game by sliterine and AGEOD that provides an interesting spin on the standard map painting game - the concept of culture, decadence and legacy. Culture is how …. Erm, cultured you nation is, great works and civilization will build this. On the other hand, decadence is a measure of how that good living is sapping the will of your empire, people with high decadence become soft and weak, leading to your empire being torn apart by civil war and strife. Legacy is how you will be remembered, and is the score of the game. It is possible to win the game while still having your nation collapse, and in fact, legacy can increase quicker while a nation is in decline. The games other feature is that you can export and play the battles out in Field of Glory, fighting the important battles out in detail then bringing the results back into Empires. It's a more clunky but more tactical total war game. I will be playing a full game, ranging from 390 BCE to 190 CE. If we last that long. This will be screenshot in nature, but I hope to run a video LP alongside it - most likely of the second choice nation. So, now we need to pick a nation! Here is the list. As you can see, there are a lot, so I’m not going to do a run down on them all! Major Nations have lots of nation specific events, Remarkable nations some, and the other factions have generic events. Finally, have a terrible hacked together world map, as this is another game that warps the borders of the map as you move around, making a neat one near impossible! VOTE YOUR DOOM!

Antigonos Not that I have anything against the Antipatrids, but Antigonos II "The Knock-Kneed" is one of my favorite Diadochs. Gotta be hard to be known to history as "The Knock-Kneed" when your daddy was the Sacker of Cities. Eumenes of Cardia was pretty cool too, I guess.
