Recently there was a thread removal, and a subsequent witch hunt- oh no! the big bad mods removed a post, there's internet censorship afoot! We must rebel! First of all, loving right there's censorship. Think it's easy to keep things in line with idiots running amok posting what ever loving reaction gifs and memes they want? HELL YES WE REMOVE POSTS. WE'VE ALWAYS BEEN PROUD OF THIS AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN UP FRONT ABOUT IT. If you want a place that stays on topic and strives to keep the signal to noise ratio at a good level, then you're going to embrace the censorship. Because that's what it's for. But I'm taking it a step further, because apparently some new kids didn't get the memo on concern trolling. Sitting around, complaining about signal to noise, censorship, and complaining about the moderators who selflessly spend hours doing their jobs to give you ungrateful little twats a place to learn to man up, complaining specifically lowers signal and ramps up noise. You're the problem, asshats. Complaining like little school girls instead of picking up the slack like a man. So, a fellow got his post removed temporarily while the moderators had a discussion about our view of marriage recommendations. The author of said post contacted us to find out what was what. And we explained what was going down and that his post could be reinstated once we were complete with our discussion. What did he do? Started mouthing off to the mods like he owns the place. So his post is in the trash bucket and it will never see the light of day no matter how good it might have been. Then he posts a thread complaining that the big bad mods took away his wittle posty and boo hoo...! Yes, that's right we took it down, and after he insulted the entire mod team he was banned. And I am now going through that thread with 95 comments, and every single person who is in there concern trolling instead of contributing quality content that actually helps the subreddit is also getting a ban. No warnings. You're out of here. What's our view on marriage recommendations? Well ultimately, getting married is a personal choice, you can do it or don't. It's your life. However, if somebody started posting threads saying "You should let yourself go, eat junk food, and just be yourself" we would rightfully delete the gently caress out of that thread. So if somebody comes in here recommending marriage as a successful life strategy, we need to really consider whether that's advice we want passed around as "TRP" advice. While some people may choose to take the risk, and others here have already taken the plunge (perhaps before swallowing the pill), discussion on married game and LTR game is not out of bounds by any stretch. But let's make one thing clear. In western culture, choosing to get married is handing a loaded gun to your woman and asking her to point it at your head.
