I think annihilation did badly in theatres because it was too weird but still good, whereas they didn't even chance putting this garbage in a movie theatre. When people watch stuff on Netflix they give it a lot of benefit of the doubt because they didn't leave the house, but if they like, put shoes on to go see Birdbox it would be panned way more. I don't dislike movies that often, I tend to like most stuff I watch and I watch a lot, but this one made me real butthurt for some reason.
