You know how the algorithm thinks you're obsessed with something because you curiously clicked a news article or product page for something? And from then on it sends you news about it on a daily basis?

Right now Google thinks I'm obsessed with American Pickers. I used to watch that show a decade ago and it was fine. I dropped off of it at one point because who even has cable anymore. I saw one article a couple weeks ago about one of the hosts leaving, read it to find out what was happening, and now I get a new article about the show everyday.

Yeah, I could probably just tell it I'm no longer interested, but American Pickers is mostly harmless and I'd rather have Google send me that than some chud poo poo.

I've never inhaled DMT but I did aya in April and I'm not doing it again until October and I bun trying to find DMT to do a few times in the interim but it simply ain't around.

It was the ditchest DMT in all of time. I barely got the sparkles or whatever. It smelled so bad that i just couldn't bring myself to do it again after the two tries.

My phone thinks I am obsessed with the 2022 Ford Maverick hybrid pickup, the FFG(X) constellation-class frigate, anything to do with "labor shortage" or telework, and also is sending me info about American Pickers despite me never clicking anything about them or watching the show. These recommendations are ok I guess.

YouTube, on the other hand, thinks that I am a True Patriot with strong interests in tools, weapons, and survival rations. YouTube also thinks I'm convinced the Nazis did a lot of things right and made a lot of really cool stuff. While I don't see much 45 content, my recommendations definitely have me pegged as pretty close to an incel. I'm not happy about these recommendations at all. I literally got an overlaid blue bubble instructing me how to "like" a video where the thumbnail showed a disturbing number of swastikas (more than 0).
