Okay I asked this in the chat but didn't really get an answer; do y'all have premium no-ad ustream accounts or just deal with the constant random ads? Because it's pretty frustratingly distracting unless it's something you've seen before and don't mind losing 2-3 minute chunks of at random points.

Frailty: 5/10. Shot fantastically, acted wonderfully, every 'twist' you could see coming a mile away. You're Next: 7/10 due to blender kill. Unfair review, as I was zoned out during most of the movie playing Burnout Paradise, but Death By Blender ups the numbers. Outer Limits: 10/10 because it's Sandkings. Can't really review the second episode of OL we watched, as I was on soup-making-for-sick-girlfriend duty. MisterBibs fucked around with this message at 07:49 on Oct 25, 2015 |

Haha, I love how the "everybody wins!" pizza night happened on a night that I got home AFTER the pizza buying. Came in just after the start to You're Next, but soon enough to the start to follow it all, I apparently just missed a little of that intro time of the family kinda all either mumbling or shouting at each other. Man does that film have weird, constant momentum. I spent the first half not really liking it, and then the second half liking it more and more til the end I think it earned a solid overall 3.5 out of 4, with the last half hour accounting for most of the positive rating. I have literally no idea if I'll be able to make the stream tonight. I have a movie watching party with friends. No real end time to it. This weekend is when I really celebrate the holiday most of the two months I count. Though later this week I still need to make my .

If you are the kind of person who is annoyed that the Conjuring portrays the Warrens in a positive light as opposed to the scum-sucking con artists that they actually are, the Exorcism of Emily Rose is going to make you seethe with barely contained rage.

Yeah I picked up on that pretty quick when the one bad guy stepped on a nail and started hopping around in pain. The Exorcism of Emily Rose is pure unfiltered dullness. It makes The Conjuring look exciting.

I came in late-late on a stream of films i'd already seen last night (I wanted an eerie indiana fix still) but I never felt that strongly about Emily Rose. It's a courtroom drama disguised as an exoricism movie, where the possession flashbacks are as cookie cutter as it gets. Meh, it's very bland and innocuous. Not what I'd call "bad", but nothing too memorable or inspiring either.

quote:Anneliese Michel [ˈanəˌliːzə ˈmɪçl̩] (21 September 1952 – 1 July 1976) was a German woman who underwent Catholic exorcism rites in 1975 and died the next year, due to lack of medical care. Later investigation determined that she was malnourished and dehydrated; her parents and the priests responsible were charged with negligent homicide. The case attracted media and public attention because of the Catholic Church's unusual decision to employ the 400-year-old ritual of exorcism, something that had been rarely seen since the 18th Century. The film The Exorcism of Emily Rose is loosely based on her story. quote:On 1 July 1976, Michel died in her home. The autopsy report stated the cause was malnutrition and dehydration because of being in a semi-starvation state for almost a year while the rites of exorcism were performed.[11] She weighed 30 kilograms (68 pounds) and the previous day, she had broken knees due to the continuous genuflections and was unable to move without assistance, and was reported to have been suffering from pneumonia.[8] No but hey, let's turn this tragedy into a movie about how she wasn't a victim of idiotic religious lunatics, she was actually chosen by god to suffer and demons are really real and the priest who did this to her is a hero and his defense attourney's transformation from agnostic to true believer is an awesome and beautiful thing that makes the victim's prolonged painful death all worth it.
