used a very different method to make this one, turns out boolean operations really don't like curved surfaces lol. it looks like crap because I wanted to make a transparent gif

Jenny Agutter posted:apply it and then add a bevel modifier, flattens it out unless i’m misunderstanding, the problem is that all your gorgeous quads get broken down to triangles before the render (everything does as I know you know) and it renders those rather than quads the bevel modifier is great when you use the material override thing for the beveled surfaces, and basically allows you to have a thin line of a different material between each shape. i’ve used it many times to add highlighted grids

the procedure for getting a video onto instagram: encode it in a special snowflake way so that ios will accept it as a file in the photostream ffmpeg -i %04d.png -qp 10 -c:v libx264 -profile:v high -pix_fmt yuv420p video0025.mp4 that usually does the trick put the file on my pc in a folder where google drive has access on ios - using google drive, find the file and "open in", and then save to files once its in files on ios it can be saved to the photostream and then it can be opened in instagram and you can do whatever fuckin hell. or imagine if you could just upload it on desktop. you can lie to insta and get it to show you mobile version which then allows you to upload pics but videos dont work in that way

I save the video as an mp4 without worrying about the codec, plug my phone into my computer with a usb cable, drag the video to any folder that shows up, and it will be the first available thing in the instagram app next time I open it. Amazing that ios is now so bad that Android is beating it out for ease of use
