They had special "hangover rooms" with a bed at my old place of employment, for the people who couldn't get home after a booze-party. Officially they weren't ment for that, they were for the night-shift who kept an eye on the particle-accelerator, but that one was disassembled in 1998 so the rooms got another purpose.

Is hard to care about anything when you don't believe the next year will be better than the current one. This type of people need hope before they can accept any message. Hope is like the hot air in a Balloon. Theory: Now, you can identify yourself leftist or progressivist person, but if you don't have a idea how to improve this people life, you don't have anything to talk with them to reach them. The only reasons anyone still supports Trump is because they're going to make a financial killing off of him or they're all in for white supremacy. In either case it is futile to attempt to reach them.

The problem is that "doesn't support Trump" and "is willing to go to the polls right now to vote in whichever candidate best threatens Trump's power for every elected position regardless of other concerns" don't describe the same set of people. If you add up the sets of "Trump devotees" and "guaranteed D votes" you do not end up with the entirety of the United States or anything close to it. You get maybe 30 or 40 percent. We've got to get better at appealing to everybody else.

The GOP is remarkably apt at rigging elections through gerrymandering and vote suppression. They know how to game the system, as evidenced by how they have twice in recent history won the elections despite losing the popular vote.

Someone said that by 2050, 70% of the population will live in just 15 states, leave the other 35 states with a supermajority in the senate. It's bad enough at this point that the voters in Wyoming have three times more electoral power than the voters in California, but all Republicans need to do to pass anything they want anytime is just wait for Democrats to move apparently.

I understand that, but this state is vile. Even if we pull it off today, it is an anomaly for how we usually go. I started helping how I can to make it better but at what time can my soul be cleared to wash my hands of my birth home? Not everyone who lives and suffers here can move eventually, so I'm just abandoning them right. Again, sorry for general mood today.
