Amazing what a new movie trilogy will do to you

Mark looks so alive nowadays - he's almost unrecognizable

You're comparing an off the cuff fan shot where he's wearing a goddamn Hawaiian print shirt to a doctored Hollywood promo shot. Of course he looks better in general but I wouldn't quite say unrecognizable.

The "fun" thing is that in Germany "HH", "88" (H => 8th letter in the alphabet) or any combination of the two is known as shorthand for "Heil Hitler" in the NeoNazi scene, so I guess that's a bullet they dodged (or maybe someone even made them aware of it and that's why it wasn't picked?).

I don't understand the appeal of plamos like this after you build them.

Like what do you do with a Millenium Falcon replica like that? Do people have shrines in their houses for this kind of stuff or something?

You realize that the kind of people planning to spend $800 on a Lego set aren't any more likely to actually play with it, right

It's building, and then painting and in some cases customizing. I've been getting back into the gunpla habit, and it's a lot of fun to take a base kit and then figure out how to make it your own. Also it's just really cool to have a somewhat realistic looking Millenium Falcon to point at and say "hey, I built/painted that," unlike most decorations people put in their house or whatever. That and you can meet some interesting people, I regularly visit a basement shop in Manhattan that specializes in model trains and listening to the owner go on and on and on about Italian fascism and train mechanics was incredibly fascinating.
