You're right, it's better to not port games. Glad we could see eye to eye

Don't lie to yourself. You know, deep down, the joy and convenience of running a game on PC. It's right there, where you'll likely be sitting all day anyway. No need to bring out an old, busted console. Don't have to fiddle with cases and discs. Do you even have a tv it'll look decent on? Or an HMDI converter? That's more work regardless. And what's this? The PC version isn't only in HD, but also runs at a smoother frame-rate!? I can feel it now. The pure ecstasy of enjoying a game on PC. Ahhhhh.

RoF is literally the best RPG ever made, it's like John Woo made a game with a plot that made no sense but with characters that were great enough to make up for it, and really solid gameplay and music

Resonance of Fate is a game that you will burn out on at about half way through, but until then it is fun as gently caress and super stylish in many ways

The game looked great and was weird and freaky but I found myself stumbling around, not really understanding what I was doing or how I was doing it, and ended up turning the game off and never feeling the urge to play it again.

I made it about 5 or 6 missions into RoF before hitting an escort mission that I could not figure out how to do. Then I moved cross-country and never found the game again. I think it was cool?

I don't blame anyone for not getting far since you really need to master the combat and customization system early on. I just wish that my quadruple barreled, four scoped golden handgun with a drum magazine had an in game model.

HGH posted:Every time someone asks for this the head of Atlus PR just starts posting Bender macros and gifs I get the feeling they don't actually have an active PC porting guy at Atlus. Considering he was saying Persona 5 would be out in 2015 right up until the trailer ran, they're probably kept out of the loop of proper Atlus stuff. XSEED and IFI seem to be better connected with their Japanese counterparts which is why they are able to do ports without much trouble.

How mistake-tolerant are Persona 3 FES's S-links? I remember that 4 had some really mean stuff Like Hanako and Dojima requiring you to raise expression months before you know you need it, or Naoto requiring you to plan out ten days to rush her the instant she unlocks. Is there any need to find a walkthrough/social stats guide for 3, or am I relatively safe just playing it by feel?
|
# ? Jan 26, 2016 02:09 |

3 is probably worse since links can reverse. And I think you need to do sufficiently good on exams to even initiate Mitsuru, so the required aren't any less strict

Every version of P3 is significantly less forgiving than P4 as far as social link completion goes. The Aeon and Empress S-Links don't open up until the last couple of months and the schedule is tighter in general. Using a guide is almost mandatory if you want to complete every link in one playthrough, but you shouldn't do that the first time you play.
