I like the movement 100x more than BLOPSIII. I haven't played IW though, but my understanding is that it's the exact same as BLOPSIII in that regard

Dunno if it does, but it is really good, I was jamming along to some drum and bass remixes

It doesn't have every track ever, it's like, top ten iconic tracks from each game I guess plus a bunch of remixes? You have to buy some as well but they're only like 100gil.

I'm not really a big fan of multiplayer shooters but the way that EA and Activision's slapfight has lead to all their competing multiplayer shooters being marked down to half off within weeks of launch is awesome.

Really this year in general has been amazing for AAA games getting really cheap really fast.

The Giant Bomb guys explained it well by pointing out that in tf when you wall run you actually gain momentum so as a player you're encouraged to find lines and fly all over the map, jumping from wall to wall. Meanwhile in CoD, the wall running does absolutely nothing for you so it feels super sluggish in comparison.

This is a good way to put it. The mobility in TF2 is the big draw but the weapon variability is also neat, between all the mains, anti-titan, and side arms. The one weapon class that totally sucks is shotgun. It just looks and feels weird where as all the other types feel pretty decent.

The match flow in bounty hunt is really satisfying and the single player was fun for an FPS.

Same. I think it's what gravitates me toward Overwatch despite the fact that I don't actually play any of these games :v:

When I used to play Counterstrike in high school I reskinned all my favorite guns to be bullshit sci-fi versions of themselves.

its literally the opposite in how it feels lol

also blops 3 has more of a focus on mobility based combat than tf2 perhaps places like giant bomb should start getting people who are actually good at fps games to do their reviews about fps games

It had a good run. Titanfall is kind of stealing it, but T2 is an even less ambiguous acronym.

What do you like about Overwatch that TF2 didn't have? I'm genuinely curious, since I've played a bunch of both.

Edit: Nevermind, I thought you'd moved from discussing Titanfall 2 to discussing Team Fortress 2.

For me the biggest thing I like about Overwatch is mobility. The characters in OW are almost universally way more mobile than their TF2 counterparts and that makes it a lot more fun to play to me. Mercy and the Medic are not THAT different but Mercy's ability to fly around makes her a lot more fun to play. (And I already liked Medic a lot.)

(I know you misread it but i still wanted to answer the question as intended.)

Titanfall and Overwatch have higher TTK than COD, which fits their style. TF also has and needs higher mobility because of the mechs and objective style maps.

They're all good games but I burned out on blops3 hard after playing a ton over the last year. It has a higher skill ceiling than TF but I guess I'm ok not playing a game where rkid or stux are constantly murdering the other team and I'm wandering around looking for something to kill.

MMM THAT FAUX LEATHER
I was doing a mission in WD2 where I had to tail a tech CEO while I stole his data. As he was trying to get away from me, he got clipped by an NPC driver and smashed into a gas station, exploded and died.

He was clearly dead, but it let me keep going, so I did.

this game is weird and dumb and I like it.

Just because he died doesn't mean his phone shut off :v:

That mission must have something about it that makes weird poo poo happen. When I did it I hacked his car into a wall, but once he was jammed up he jumped out, ran over, and hijacked me. I hacked him into a wall again and hijacked my car right back, and the download finished before we could trade a third time (then I think he de-aggroed and wandered away like any other npc).
