I bubble the rein, yell about the Mei, Mei either gets focused down or turns into an icecube while the team repositions for the kill. I don't end up queued with good players though so a decent Mei probably has a way to deal with that.

Lucio is the great the way he is. If you really play into his mobility he can take heroes you wouldn't expect and none of the xxxsnyperofdethxxxx bad offense types will ever touch him because he's support.

Are there any good videos with general strategies and tips for playing Pharah? I figure I ought to learn to play at least one DPS character half decently and I like the idea of zipping around the map and popping rockets at people.

Most people don't bother looking up so float around (always be moving) with your jetpack and save left shift for either getting into position quickly or getting out of a fight. If you've gotta stand in one spot make sure it's on a roof or something.

I love doing this as Junkrat. You can mess up basically anything Reinhardt tries to do by just bouncing him in the air. It's especially satisfying bouncing them when they come barreling in with a charge Also with regards to Phara, knocking Reinhardt's into the well will never gets old for as long as the game exists.

Most teams will run a Soldier76 these days to deal with Pharah, but unless that player is good or the Pharah is bad, a single Soldier76 can't deal with a Pharah by himself. If you have a team that refuses to help their Soldier shoot you, then you will be fine. If their Ana is also taking shots at you and their Zen is discording you, then it may be time to switch.

Use your mobility to get to highground so you have some cover and aren't a sitting duck in the middle of the sky, and bob&weave behind tall obstacles with the jetpack to spam the enemy team without being exposed to their hitscans

Symmetra, Reaper, Junkrat and kinda Mei don't really have a way to escape you or fight you favorably, punish them for that

You can fly with either spacebar or M2. If you tap fly with a good rhythm, you can fly almost indefinitely. As already mentioned, this doesn't mean hanging out in middle of the sky forever being an easy hitscan target. It's a specialized set of knowledge learning where the 3D cover is and where invisible walls exist or do not, but it pays off.

Thanks for the Pharah tips, everyone. I'll try to get good at mobility in particular - play on console and at lower ranks, so I don't often run into Soldiers that can easily shoot me down.

I feel like this game could really use more specific voice commands. "Come here/look at this" (especially if you could deliberately make it mark whatever your cursor is pointing at to bring attention to like, say, roadhog hooking and killing your entire team from high ground) In general some panic button to signify "I'm a squishy healer and the enemy team's DPS is about to kill me, HELP" other than Hello! spam would be nice. Less necessary but still nice would be a "I'm coming/on my way" to either signify someone will handle that flanker you just pointed out OR a good way to let your unobservant team know their healer is dead but they've respawned and coming back soon.

Yes I would totally love a voice command wheel with 48 different segments for every kind of call you'd want to make in the game. Blizzard I need a "someone switch to a loving hitscan and start taking care of that Pharrah" line.
