Alright so I'm looking for two videos done by the same guys. The main one started with a fisherman going into some kind of seafood restaurant and he starts telling the bartender an old fishing tale about some giant sea creature. I think it was a squid. And if I remember right, the creators made a thread about it in GBS. The second video was a fake trailer for a movie that was basically The Fast and the Furious but done with mini motorcycles.

I think I saw this posted in the Youtube thread once. It's about somebody playing and exploiting the japanese version of Metal Gear Solid 3 like a virtuoso in order to produce incredible in-game photos. One particular scene was a perfectly synchronized knockout recovery of two guards. Perfect distance and camera timing made it look they were kissing.

I'm looking for a vid that was posted in a surreal youtubes thread a few months ago, it had a puppet singing a song with some other puppets with a maybe Australian accent, and got progressively weirder until I think they start shooting blood and/or black ink. It looked very professionally produced. edit: So I found this once I tried searching vimeo instead of youtube. http://vimeo.com/27003856 It's also much more interesting than my description. loopsheloop has a new favorite as of 19:05 on Apr 2, 2012 |

Several years ago I remember seeing something on the internet about a pretty long movie done entirely in 8-bit video game graphics. I saw snippets of it, it sort of looked like a Japanese video game. I also remember that the guy who did them was fairly famous for doing these little sprite movies, I believe at that time he'd done two. I don't think the movies had any dialogue, it was all just like a long music video. I know this is vague, but I'm pretty sure they were fairly popular. I don't believe they were reused sprites or anything, either - this guy made them and animated them from scratch. I seem to remember them being pretty long, and at least somewhat inspired by anime and stuff like that.

I'm trying to find a 2001 commercial from Ford where they show some dude welding poo poo on his ranch or something, the movie You've Got Mail is described and then say that this guy hadn't seen it, and then they show how he owns a really cool Ford truck. It's mentioned on here: http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,93270,00.html but I'm having trouble finding a recording of the commercial online.

I am looking for a very short video of an Asian gentleman driving slowly past a car fire on a major highway at night, and he is listening to The Cranberries - Dreams, but the lyrics are in his language. It's a delightfully surreal romp, and I promise I will save it this time.

This is a video I saw a few months ago; I found it on a library computer & only had time to skim through it to get the general concept of it, and now I can't track it down. I only remember the beginning and end clearly; it was an animation (it looked quite limited and simple--it could have been someone's college project) that, at the beginning and end at least, was black and white with a yellow tint over everything (so basically black-and-yellow). From the moments I watched, it apparently was about a little fat sad guy living in a futuristic place and deciding to become an astronaut (possibly because his ancestors were astronauts). The final shot is him with a wistful smile on his face as he wears a space suit, and the whole thing was set to Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 in A, 2nd Movement, Allegretto. I doubt there was any spoken dialogue. It looked like it might be really thoughtful and poignant, and I'd like to see whether it meets that expectation. If nothing else, the art style looked original and worthwhile. Reginaldavid has a new favorite as of 02:32 on May 8, 2012 |

I may have first seen this video in this very thread, so forgive me in advance. It's a video compilation of various dance numbers from movies and TV shows, I believe set to the same music the whole way throughout. I think it also starts with fairly old movies and works it's way to modern film. Any ideas what I'm on about?

iloverice, you are unbelievable. I'm finding it very hard to understand how anyone can know quite so many youtube videos. I have always prided myself on that quality, but you are ten times the youtube connoisseur I am. You have my eternal respect. Can I test you? These are videos I already have the links to, but I'm interested to just test your knowledge. Not saying I doubt you though, because you have already convinced me many times over that you know what you're doing. a) there's a guy who uses only spraycans, and in about a minute he creates this crazy painting with a mountain and a moon behind it. It's all done very fast and the results are colourful and impressive. b) two firefighters in some kind of training session show how quickly they can get their ladder off the truck, then chuck it up against a building, one of the guys scales the ladder quicker than a monkey c) Some Russians setup a dodgy bungee jump rig off the top of a residential block of flats/apartments.

I remember there was a short segment on Sesame Street with these monster like Muppets (not yip yips) that were ducking below this smoky fog and making sounds like (awwwhawww awww hawww) to some music, and maybe chasing each other or something. I can't for the life of me find this clip and for some reason it's been bothering me and would love to see it again.

Okay, I'm looking for this scary video. It looks like found footage. It's about these kids disappearing and someone found the camera and what's on it is the kids driving around at night. They keep running into the same tunnel even though they make different turns and then they get attacked. Thanks. Edit: Nevermind, found it. car dance has a new favorite as of 16:32 on May 24, 2012 |

Trying to find this video - it's a music video for some chiptunes song, and it's all done in this heavily pixelated fashion. In the video, some guy is playing a video game, then he beats it or loses or something, and then he ends up fighting a giant rear end squid alien thing.

Not a whole lot, honestly. I just have a pretty good memory and I enjoy funny videos. This thread is nice for me because I get to revisit a lot of my "lost" favorites (stuff I forgot about) but it can be really frustrating at times too. I totally remember the exact video MisterGBH is talking about but I can't find it for some reason. It was posted in the GBS Youtube thread 3 iterations ago and it was a goon's friend. Its frustrating that I know exactly what they are looking for but can't find it. Luckily, this doesn't happen very often (usually I just don't know what you guys want).
