So really, we have the BCS controlled playoff with only one moon poll and big name figureheads to ensure that the little guys don't manage to sneak in anyway.

And if Oregon wins out, Oregon beat OSU, so if we are saying OSU is a playoff team after beating all these ranked teams and Oregon beat them then Oregon has to be a playoff team too. I was able to make my moon poll somewhat approximate a CFP poll by assigning all SEC and Big Ten teams -1 loss, all AAC and MWC teams and BYU +1 loss, +2 losses for the Sun Belt, and +3 losses for CUSA/MAC/non-ND Independents, plus adjusted my strength of schedule to use those modified loss totals , and then exponentially penalized teams with SOS rankings under 66 (65 P5 teams plus Notre Dame). Even then it can't replicate that bullshit because a computer treats all resumes the same:pre:CFP AP Team Record Eff Record Score 1 1 1. Georgia 8-0 8-(-1) 4.9041 5 6 2. Yates posted:And if Oregon wins out, Oregon beat OSU, so if we are saying OSU is a playoff team after beating all these ranked teams and Oregon beat them then Oregon has to be a playoff team too. Sorry Cinci, our hands are tied Exactly. These teams feel like absolute locks: - SEC Champ - Big 10 Champ (from the East) - 1 Loss Oregon - 1 Loss Georgia From there, you have a grab bag of the following: - Big 12 Winner (If 1 loss or undefeated) - Cincinnati (If they win out) - 1 Loss Big 10 East runner up - 1 Loss Georgia (if Bama wins the SECCG) - 1 Loss Notre Dame - 2 Loss Bama (because lol the committee will absolutely think about it) The only one of those I give Cincinnati a chance of getting in relative to are ND or the SEC runner up. If Oklahoma finishes strong or Okie State beats them decisively twice, they're in. Honestly same if Baylor wins out. 1 loss Big 10 East team between OSU/MSU/UM, especially if the 1 loss is close, probably is going to get the "Strength of Schedule" bump, since all 3 of those teams will have beaten Indiana worse than UC did and will have at least one in-conference win that looks as good as ND. 2 Loss Bama probably doesn't make it the committee pretty much has to put them at 4 and cause a Georgia rematch. Honestly just expand the playoff you giant babies. Who cares if 2-3 SEC teams get in every year, we already do that poo poo and it sucks.

I get Oregon beat Ohio state but the rest of their schedule looks bad. Fresno State is probably their best win outside Ohio State. 4 of their 7 wins was by a single score with the remaining 3 being the powerhouses of Stoney Brook, Arizona, and Colorodo and a loss to Stanford to cap it off. The only explanation is a deliberate screw job to cinci and the entire G5 with not even ranking UTSA.

Remember when Bob Stoops called Charlie Strong and said he was about to fire Jay Norvell and Charlie should snap him up, and Charlie actually did for some insane reason? And then Charlie demoted Shawn Watson and gave Jay Norvell playcalling duties just in time for the OU game and we actually handed OU their only regular season loss that year on the way to missing a bowl game? And also Jeff Traylor was like the assistant to the not-OC who called plays during that time? Crazy times.
