Oh, there are plenty of good or funny reasons to burn your spy, but "initiating an unanchor timer that any other fulldir in the holding corporation can cancel and which generates a notification containing who did it" is neither.

If you had a fulldir spy, you'd just transfer the structure rather than initiate unanchoring. That can be done instantly. That's how The Judge stole the CO2 keepstar in Impass that one time.

true, but if you were doing a smash & grab like that I think the wormhole citadels would be the worst target. you can't steal anything -- even if you could unanchor the keepstar all the stuff would just be sitting there in the wormhole. short of a superior external force being called in at the same time, they'd scoop it and re-deploy it.

much more lucrative to steal anything the corp owns in k-space where it's yours as soon as you drop it in your personal hangar.

I knew someone that used to play eve online, he would fly a covert recon and just camp a single wormhole system for a month at a time and just gank anything that was outside the Pos shield and undefended. He forced quite a few tiny wormhole dweller corporations to move back to k-space because they ran out of ships.

Does anyone know when we are getting a replacement for small POSs? That Forward Operating Base thing?

hi.

Stellaris is a fun game if you like either Paradox games or 4X games and are not an insufferable purist because it is not fully committed to either. I bought it at release and have played it in frenzied spurts at release and at Apocalypse. I have not yet touched Distant Stars or Megacorps, but I'm sure I will eventually buy them and enjoy them when I next find myself crazing 300 hours of Stellaris.

Here are some tips to your new forums experience!

1) the emotes :colbert: and :crossarms: are BACKWARDS!

2) some of us don't use certain emotes decided in the Platinum Forums (You can tell Platinum Users from regular ones from the cool rear end bomb icon on the top left of my profile picture), so if you don't want to be a noob avoid using any emotes (aka SMILIES) that you haven't seen, or risk looking like a total doof!
(Examples :thinkdorm: :twisty: :nignog: )

3) don't fall for the classic 'make your introduction post in FYAD' meme, that is bad and will make you look dumb.

Hope these tips POSitively effect your experience here on the forums!

I guess I should say something. If for nothing else, for the fact that there's nothing left to lose here.

It's been a few weeks now that the "main" Perpetuum server is no longer running, which I suppose is the symbolic conclusion of the development of Perpetuum, something that was our first venture in game development and took 10+ years of our lives. In some ways, it was an emotional moment to pull the plug, and in other ways it really wasn't. Let me try to explain why.

There's no longer enough eve is dead types to sustain a game made for eve is dead types. Eve in now undead.

So how exactly is CCP going to handle POS tower and module reimbursement? I need to know for a friend, who might have literally just put up over 100 buy orders in multiple regions for all tower types with the express intention of collecting the reimbursement.

Is it going to be reprocessing value?

useless mods got their reprocessing changed to reprocess into the correct amount of p4s and such; i expect that's what they'll do for towers as well. they won't be force-reimbursed.

Still exists, there's an open server that's out there cause the devs released the source code. So in a way that clone game will live longer than Eve will.

CCP doesn't even get how their code works and they have access to it. Also for that to work someone at CCP would have to release the code when it gets shut down, which is not something I'd bet on.
