Forced sassiness, vodka sodas for their figure and everything else you'd expect from a late-in-life baby gay. Lots of comments about "the blacks" too. I'm fairly sure that the still living members from that time (and many of their replacements) voted Trump. It was certainly a cultural experience. Though I wouldn't really call it depressing. Then again, maybe I've spent too many weekdays in dive bars so to me it just reads as "normal".

The only real requirements are "be born a citizen" (with the exception of those resident in the Colonies before independence, and former slaves who were not born citizens but gained citizenship en masse with an amendment, both of which are irrelevant today) ", "be at least 35 on election day", and "you can't have served more than 6 years as president before". There's a separate requirement of residency in the country for the prior like 10 years, but that's the case for a lot of other positions. You need meet absolutely no other qualifications.
