"Don't get me wrong I like Bernie, I just hate everything he stands for, and just the thought of my taxes going up a single cent makes me violently ill despite the fact that I have more money than I know what to do with, but again don't get me wrong, I like him. I think he's a good guy... " Howard is completely terrified of having any fraction of his wealth go to anything but his trips to Mexico with Jimmy

That's actually pretty funny and would have definitely been something the Howard of 20+ years ago would have done in a heartbeat. Except the woman would have actually been attractive back then instead of a cross between Mona Lisa and George Washington in drag.

I wish I could fast forward seven months when the election is over so I can avoid Howard's garbage politics. The show in general today was bad, from the unfunny and asinine "Karl Marx Jr" rant, to interviewing a D-list celebrity over the phone, to the TV show theme song game, it felt like I was listening to Bob & Tom. Ether Frenzy posted:This is probably way more important than the taxing situation, Howard is the world's biggest defender of Israel and thinks they're the innocent victims in every single situation possible to imagine and always has. Howard has the least knowledge and absolute worst takes when it comes to Israel. Like he literally believes no one lived in Palestine until 1947.

There's some book that came out years ago, and it was full of stuff that turned out to be completely wrong, and I think Howard either read it or skimmed it at some point. Whenever he says "there was nobody there -- they were nomads" -- that's the source he's drawing from.

Wow... now that Bernie is clearly winning, Stern has really taken out the knives. The Bernie impersonator used to just joke about being a goofy, disheveled old Jewish guy, but he sat in for the news yesterday, and now it's pure character assassination on Stern's part. Bernie is going to put the billionaires in a concentration camp, he's going to ruin the economy with taxes, he's a complete wackjob, pretty much all the poo poo he said on Monday, but in "joke" form. Ughhh. I'm actually angry at Stern, this is pretty rare.

Got all caught up on the show and... are people actually mad about what Howard said about Bernie? Don't get me wrong, I hope he drops all of it because Howard talking politics is awful, but all that he did was a weak railing of Bernie's socialist stance. Unfortunately after the glowing feedback from the Hillary interview (which I thought was pretty good), I think he feels pretty empowered and will try to push his political views more than ever for the next 9 months. I appreciated that he said he would not bring in nominees, only candidates, but then he threw that out the window saying he would consider bringing Bloomberg in after he face-planted in his first debate. I really hope he doesn't.
