Wasn't there something of a shoving match after a wreck in the 125 or 250 race from that day, too? Yeah, I don't know his name but he got fined 5000 because he head butted the guy that took him out. I can understand why Hayden is tweaked, Alex shouldn't have tried that, definite rider error on his part. All the Ducati A team being there watching him, he had a good feel for the bike, was ready to get a good finish and FUUUUUUUUUCK. What a bummer.

Yeah definately would be pissed if I was Hayden, right after he gets a podium finish at Indy, and that's not the first time he's been taken out this year either.

The guy coming second took out himself and first trying to overtake in a move that was NEVER gonna stick. It was pretty drat funny.

Yeah just picked one up actually. Hey, are you having to convert the videos first before putting them in premier? Because I took a vid today but premier tells me that it's not a supported file. Only thing I can edit it with is Windows movie maker.

Strange, their site says Video Format: MJPEG, 30 fps, saved as .AVI file, and motion JPEG isn't exactly a strange format, surely one I'd think Premiere could handle. There might be some codec you have to download, but if Windows Movie Maker can handle it, I would have guessed you already have that codec installed.

Honestly I just uploaded the videos up to Youtube right off the camera when I got home. Too bad youtube took them down because my races don't happen to be less than ten minutes. Is there any other site that lets you upload longer videos? Also, that reminds me I need to find some of that adhesive tape they use, we got new bodywork on the bike, so I have to peel the mounts off the old body work. I don't trust re-using the adhesive mounts.

Oh, sweet, thanks. If you don't mind me asking, (assuming what you got is the Motorsports Wide package), how much did you pay? The reason I ask is that I bought mine from GoPro's website for $200, but I went to Indianapolis for the MotoGP, and they were selling the same thing in the Yamaha tent for like $160

Would you guys say the GoPro is better or worse than this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7YRJXke-Q0&fmt=18 That's my point and shoot attached to a mount a lot like the GoPro. It doesn't seem that I would benefit much from replacing my mount+Sony point and shoot for an entirely new setup. The biggest thing you need to consider when using a point and shoot for this stuff is the zoom arrangment. You will need an internal one that will not rattle. There are tons of small point and shoots with external zoom arrangements that will rattle the gently caress out of all your videos because the plastic covers aren't fixed well. Also, my point and shoot is pretty tough too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSA1Ys7g0RI&fmt=18 And doesn't mind a bit of fuel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUp0AEe5w2A&fmt=18 If your looking at my youtube page the ones that rattle a lot and have a lot of crackling noise is my backup camera with external zoom arrangement.

I went out to highway 7 and taped motorcycles instead of riding one. I wanted to try out slow motion stuff but had a lot of shake from a sticky tripod. I think I'll try again another weekend, but here's a screen grab of a couple guys that I found out are from my old job. The guy on the CBR hit some gravel on the next pass and lowsided into the ditch. He was alright and the bike came out of it not too badly. The jacket held up, the jeans had a tear in the knee and the helmet got banged up. The bike ground mostly on the frame slider, scraped the case and rear fairing a bit and snapped a peg and bent the shift lever, but was otherwise alright and started up. It's the one that took a spill, and I think he went a little wide and hit gravel on the shoulder. Shoulda specified, my bad. Edit: I live in Tacoma, I head up to Whistler sometimes. Making a decent ski vid takes a lot of trips, though. I think I'm gonna give Pacific Raceway a call and see if It's cool to tape in the infield. That's where I'd get the best shots. It's a huge waiting game at highway 7 before someone comes through that has clear traffic and a set of balls. Slim Pickens fucked around with this message at 01:29 on Sep 15, 2009 |

I'd be awesome if you could get some infield shots, I know that the tracks around here can be hit or miss for photogs. If you can, I recommend finding the nastiest, bumpiest corner on the track, so that it really shows the suspension working and stuff. There's some IoM TT shots that are absolutely amazing when you can watch the suspension and tires work as the bike powers through the corner.

Gee the ContourHD looks like a good little package, and surprisingly not ridiculously expensive in Australia! Do you have to use their software for editing and sharing, or can you import the clips in to video editing software like Premiere or iMovie and edit there? A picture of the 60s era panhead sportster hardtail that my father had when he was 18 sometime in the late 70s. In the background you can just see my grandpa's 1965 mustang with 289 and white interior. My father bought the car from him 76' and sold it in 79' when he started working for GM. As for the motorcycle it was stolen when my father was trying to sell it. My grandma let a couple of guys take it for a test ride and they never came back. Dad said the guy who painted the tank used a playing card to make the ribbons. Also my dad painted the frame and fenders. Also here is a example of the paintjob that is going on my 750 hard tail. The guy who painted this bike is painting my bike in the same style.
