His resume lists his time there as technical director/production manager. He got an award for set design!

Ah, okay. That makes a lot more sense. Every time I remember them talking about his theatre work on the podcast, they just referred to him as a carpenter. Also, this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGDXxLd6B_I

Toaster Beef posted:Griffin making GBS threads on Travis is a beautiful thing. This and The Gushie Incident are somewhere in my top ten of MBMBAM moments. The gushie thing was the one time I thought it went too far, Griffin sounded legitimately angry, then they cut for 10 minutes, and in the end, Travis was right It just felt way too close to home, I've had some real barn burners with my brothers over equally petty poo poo

I was yelling at my radio because I knew Griffin was wrong. Same when Justin was talking about seeing Night at the Museum in the wrong aspect ratio. That's Griffin's fatal flaw, he thinks he knows everything.

We're all grown adults with jobs and lives and poo poo and last holiday we all had like a ten minute intense argument over the cast of a broadway show that ended with 'alright you're right but still gently caress you'. Every family just has these weird little release valve moments and it owns that one was probably caught on tape and involved a dude named 'Gushie'.

Eh, I think every time they switch up their environment they have to take a little bit to find a groove. It's happened a couple times before and then gotten good again.

I thought he was going to cheese the binary button game but he rolled something. Hopefully that wasn't just for show. It reminds me of a game I ran where the players were stuck in a pocket dimension and had to play games to appease a god gone mad. It was great seeing them argue about what was really going on and how they could bend and break the rules without getting killed.

It seems to be that more of this sacrifice stuff is planned, if what's been said so far is any indication. I hope Griffin isn't relying on his players to go off the rails, because frankly they're all pretty content to play within the confines he sets out, because he's generally good at making an interesting setting.

I bet they won't get anything they've lost already back but I also bet they're going to bust out in the next episode or the one after (suspect a lot of this next one will be the fight that got set up at the end of this one).
