Do I understand correctly that linked hackers won't be able to use full-order Supportware etc. without dropping out?

You can still throw E/M grenades (and Drop Bears) up to their maximum range just fine, just not with Speculative Fire while linked is all. They're still perfectly usable and can be fired at an enemy miniature providing he is the target of Circular Template as a legal target. They're still incredible I think for throwing them at clustered models or high priority targets just to trigger the Guts Roll and Isolation State. E: Pz, the last time I did that combo I missed the PH17 throw. 2e: The bugger didn't find it funny when I threw two drop bears either side of his link team from outside of their LOS though. RE: Hacking, yeah I think it's a bit lame but I think it might be one of those changes that works out better in the long-term for Speculative Fire/Suppression Fire/Intuitive Attack. So from what I can tell Viral and T2 function exactly the same? All things considered I am lovin my T2 Sniper Cateran even more than before. With the new range bands Snipers are now a great tool for getting rid of high burst suppressing fire weapons. Was looking through Yu-Jing profiles and I noticed the new Imperial Agent Crane rank seems a lot better. most of the profiles come equipped standard with Sensor and x visor which I didn't realise affects penalties to suppressing fire. Not to mention Kinematika lv 2 and an extra point of arm. Not quite sure if he is still too costly at 53 points. 2x nanopulser, multi rifle, Xvisor and a Sensor seems pretty good on that profile. If I am interpreting the rules correctly it would mean that the range bands on suppressive fire with an X Visor would be 0/0/0 instead of 0/0/-3. What I am trying to say is I want an excuse to start Yu-Jing because I love all their models. I want an immediate action robit Hoboskins fucked around with this message at 23:45 on Jan 21, 2015 |

Viral is a Biomunition so will proc Bioimmunity, T2 has the Standard Trait so will not. One requires BTS rolls, the other ARM. E: quote:T2 Special Ammunition causes 2 Wounds to the target for each ARM roll failed. A Critical with this ammunition causes 2 Wounds directly. quote:Viral Special Ammunition requires its target to perform two BTS rolls. Even if the target fails the first of them, or is Unconscious, he must still make the second Roll. Flipswitch fucked around with this message at 23:56 on Jan 21, 2015 |

infinity is a game I feel zero remorse for paying to have models assembled for this very reason. In the time it took me to put some of that stuff together I could have worked enough to pay for the service and then some. It also saves me on counselling bills and anger management classes.

Big chunky easy to assemble plastic is relaxing for me to (despite the occasional mould line rage). However I have CP so poo poo like infinity is far too small for me to assemble easily if at all.

Dang, man. I'll forever be more tolerant of people who contract other people to build their poo poo now. I've been building/converting (weapon swaps, green stuff conversion, but never felt the desire to do anything from scratch yet) minis for so long that working with Infinity isn't much different. I've started pinning a lot more joints and doing magnets... which makes it a lot easier overall. The only rage inducing thing lately is that I can't seem to find fresh batches of CA glue. It took overnight for my last set of models to cure enough to not simply fall apart from gravity and I just bought the glue last weekend. I'm still going to have an Akalis with a Spitfire from the old kit that had an HMG once I get the rest of that model together. So that's okay.

Pierzak posted:Wait. Weren't you the dude that said he wanted to see people who commission minis beaten and stuff? I was being rhetorically hyperbolic on a comedy forum and was more specifically talking about people who trust random vendors on the internet with tens of thousands of dollars of skilled labor rather than people who commission minis. I still generally find the practice distasteful in most cases, hence my tolerance rather than acceptance. I'm not sure why. Given the big drop in cost for rocket launchers, I expected them to be nerfed to B1. Instead, they each got a boost by having a new Hit mode with no blast up +1 damage. So yes, a linked HRL can toss out B3, drat 15 Fire hits all over the table.

Realistically, how many bux does this game cost to play? This is the first time I've ever looked at it. Also from looking at the models apparently there are no bras in the future. Nipples everywhere.

And later on it very much depends on what faction you're playing (elite/horde) and how much of your list is "I need 1 model out of a box of 4". I just looked at my lists and they're horrible with this. Ah well, that's what you get when your approach to list building is "can take whatever"

Also, the starter boxes are not point-balanced against each other, just "6 models for your faction to start with"! (this needs to be put in the OP in big, red, flashing, epilepsy-inducing letters)

A 4-4 HI beatstick with MSV and huge survivability against gimmick attacks (due to dodging) is pretty insane.

Got in two games of N3 last night. My MAR force vs friends Nomads, 200pt "lets learn the rules again" games. Lot of fun, first game I wandered around without smoking the table up too much and got gunned down, though one regular morat inf reaction shot everything my opponent poked around corners, dude was a serious badass until he ate double heavy flamer from a remote turn 3. Second game I got one witch soldier into his deployment zone and he ended up CCing everything into piles of goo, literally killed over 50% of the nomad force by slowly tossing smoke grenades and then using them to walk closer, made a few lucky armor roles when he failed a FTF, then crit everything to death. We are going up to 300 pts next week, and more scenarios, we did just some older ITS2014 area control ones as we were underpointed and thus specialist light.
