Thinking about it there are tons of unused ships from TNG that don't look like complete garbage which could still be released. The "shaka when the walls fell" ship, the glowy ship over the planet of almost naked people where Wesley was going to be put to death for playing catch badly, plenty others.

the best part about star trek is spotting microscopic details with your photographic memory for episodes and dwelling on pointless schematics and minutiae tbh also i like that all the different people are included and friends in space together. i havent played this game in a few years, you guys still doing poo poo together and terrorizing the weirder weirdos in this game? E: holy poo poo you can play as the dominion now wtf pls tell me theres a reason for me to get this game beyond that any input on whether i should get this through steam or not? For p2w stuff, at end-game you really should be flying a T6 ship, and those all cost something. Usually money from the z-store, or they come from gamble boxes. The gamble box ships can be bought from other players for absurd amounts of in-game currency. If you stick around for a bit the summer event will start next month, and you can get a free T6 ship by doing the summer event daily for a few weeks. The summer event also tends to draw and concentrate the crowds if you want to annoy people. There's also ship traits, character traits, universal consoles, special weapons, etc. that come from z-store and gamble box ships if you're trying for the ultimate p2w experience, but unless you get off on spending thousands gambling in dying MMOs you shouldn't do that. None of it is necessary for end-game content. Best advice is to figure out your @handle in game and post it in the thread. Someone will invite you to the chat channel, and if you luck into finding anyone online at the same time as you they can give more help in game.

Have they said anything about the stats on the Summer ship yet? I have a Sci build I've been working on on an alt, and I've been wondering if I should start funneling dilithium towards that alt to get them a T6 ship.

I like using the ship but I have it on my Klank and I'm annoyed they didn't do a Klingon one. I love the look of the Korath T5 temporal science ship in particular.

I miss that sort of bonus content. Bring back the "gently caress you" gozertorp grade difficulty for certain STFs and make them exclusively worth grinding for some highly desirable super rare drop so people keep queing no matter how bad the experience.

Starting 5/28 - Do 1 Red Alert per day for 5 days, get free Ultimate Tech upgrade + 1 spec point (one time per acct.) They have the buyout option enabled for this so I am curious to see what they nominally value an Ultimate Tech upgrader at. In case anyone is new, you absolutely want to do this event.

I don't suppose anyone's run into a guide for making W40k orks in the character creator? Google didn't turn up anything. e: Meh, think I'm giving up on it. Just too many body differences that STO really can't account for, like tusks and the head & shoulders being at about the same height.
