Those are pretty good news; to see someone with actual great TV experience like The Americans showrunning Cassian's show sounds great. Also, so far the cast of The Mandalorian looks pretty good, though I need an official announcement with the whole cast

But as someone who was adopted at a pretty young age and spent quite a few years struggling with finding some sense of cultural identity, I've always thought that one of the coolest things about Mandalorians beneath all of the blind Boba worship and armor is (at least in the Legends canon) how they view the concept of family as more of an earned relationship than something you are just born into by default. Where they see no difference between taking in a child as your own and having one the "proper" way, because as far as they're concerned, the years you spend raising them from that point on are far more important. So having the show really delve into something like that as a way to dodge the obvious trap of trying to just make a new Boba Fett tough guy bounty hunter would make me genuinely excited. Having a protagonist who is forced to suddenly grapple with that responsibility, but in a way where he actually cares and isn't just a generically stoic/snarky badass reluctantly accepting the baby as a burden? God, I'm ~all about that~.

Today's Resistance: Looks like they recast Leia finally, Carolyn Hennesy is listed in the credits for the role, replacing Rachel Butera. I believe this might be Carolyn's first try at Leia, while she does have other voice work, it doesn't look like she has an SW VO credits.

Today's ep had a bit too much running back and forth down corridors - feels like we got enough of that from the freighter episode - but it almost was retroactively made worth it by Leia hinting at the New Republic Senate's corruption via the arms trade. Keep that world-building coming.

Catching up on a few episodes of Resistance I missed, and I gotta say, I really love the design of all the pirates in Synara's Score. The one with the bandolier made out of old imperial rank placards is particularly great. Oh and Yeager quoting Air Force One.
