My partner has been really enjoying Martijn Doolaard's videos where he restores his cabins in the Italian alps, and also his multi-year biking videos across Central and South America. She's also been enjoying Baumgartner Restoration, as well as Destination Adventure and Ghost Town Living to a lesser degree. Overall, she enjoys the high-quality filming and editing, and the slow, meditative pace of the videos, but she doesn't love when it gets too into minute detail like Clickspring or any kind of machine work videos.

Would love some suggestions for some more well-produced slow-tv kind of vibe, with narration.

My favorite thing is early in the video she's just going through the goldmine thread and I'm like "yea, know them, know them, oh they're banned, oh I love that avatar" at all the goons posting in it.

This was a fun watch. I hadn't paid much attention to Slenderman beyond the original photoshop thread and knowing there was a lovely movie made years later. Given the length of the video I was expecting a lot of padding but there's not a second wasted, and I really like her style. Subscribed.

This is a really low volume channel that only has 2 videos so far, but it's some of the best content I've seen in a while.

He's an Irish guy who builds incredibly detailed dioramas, and his commentary is an odd mix of detailed explanation of his methods and slightly absurd humour delivered in a deadpan manner mixed in with titbits of Hollywood rumours. At the end of each video he buries the models in the middle of nowhere and invites people to decipher the geolocation clues in the video. If they find it they get to keep the model.

Seconding or thirding Watcher. I don’t even like ghost hunting shows because find them so hokey but my wife turned me on to Shane and Ryan.

I also recommend their other shows, like Too Many Spirits, where they tell viewer-submitted ghost stories while getting drunk over the course of four episodes in a single shooting; and Puppet History, which is pretty much what the title implies and covers things like the Emu War, the Molasses Disaster of Boston, and the Defenestrations of Prague, and it has gone batshit insane on the latest episode
