probably just remembering when WWE signed him and he was touted as the next Brock and then comparing that to Brock's debut and well Brock in his first two years

he needs more than Dark though he needs serious training because he was struggling with the fundamentals

I think it was to show the difference between him and Mox. Mox didnt give a poo poo that he gave Hangman a concussion, that it was just part of wrestling, and here Hangman was showing more humanity.
