Looking for a song, pretty sure it's by Jay Z or at least featuring him. He's on the chorus, but I don't remember the specific words. What's distinctive about the chorus is after Jay Z says something, he mimics the sound of a machine gun. I guess the closest you could spell it is "brrddaaaat brrddaaaat".

This is a real shot in the dark but does anyone happen to know an artist or group that combines insanely fast reggaeish vocals with high tempo beats? I heard someone voicespam this while playing on Xbox Live couple of days ago and found it quite hilarious. Is there a subgenre for this kind of stuff?

It's probably raggacore / breakcore, if this sounds like what you heard I'd start looking up tracks by Shitmat, Kid606, Bong-Ra and Enduser first. If the beats weren't this fast and glitched up sounding it might have just been old school ragga jungle or dancehall which is what the raggacore vocals are sampled from.

I think it was something similar to the stuff you've posted. I found this which sound closest but the vocals aren't near as fast as in the stuff I heard. It sounded like it was sung without any artificial speed up which made it mesmerizing.

Hip hop question-- looking for a song but all I can remember is the music video. It starts off in a small convenience store in a city, and the camera is first person as the guy gets one of those 25cent juices from the freezer and then pays for it. A beat is playing on the radio in the store and as soon as he leaves it transitions to being the beat for the song. I don't think the artist was/is well known. It's only a few years old though.

These are probably a couple of easy ones, but it seems like i can't find anything on any of the internets...

I'm looking for two music videos

1)
I was pretty loving drunk at sapphire in vegas this weekend, and they played this music video which i'm pretty sure was some kind of trance/techno remix of the song Maneater... i think it was a remix of the Hall/Oates original song, not a remix of the nelly furtado version, but i could be wrong, needless to say there were elements of distraction present.

Anyway, the video was a stylized/crappy cartoon, i blurrily remember a license plate of a car in the video spelling out either DOAD, DOAB, or something like that. I couldn't find a DJ or artist except weird poo poo when running the permutations.

2)
The second video i'm looking for was a remix of BEP's Imma Be Rocking That Body. It had an amusing South Park intro that seemed to be sung by someone that sounded like shaggy. Then it went back to the regular video, and a couple of more bridges by "shaggy" or whoever the gently caress it was. I'm hoping this is the easier of the two.

You might ask yourself "Pointman, what the gently caress were you doing watching music videos at a strip club?", my answer to that is that there are only very few options for what to do between being slapped in the face by glitter covered titties, and only one of those do not involve slicing a gaping hole in your wallet.

anyway, thanks for any hints.

Sorry for the shameless self promotion, but this is driving me nuts... anyone?

Ok so there's this song that I really like, It's an older acid house track. I've got it in the middle of a couple of Cari Lekebusch live sets. It's got a sampled refrain that goes something like "Baby what you see, it must not be me. Be a bitch for the night as long as I'm free."

Normally I'm pretty good at being able to track this sort of thing down myself, but I've had 0 luck.

I don't want to get into trouble for :filez: (if I could find it on youtube or whatever I'd probably not have to ask) so I'll just say it can be found @ around the 16:40 mark in the 'Cari Lekebusch vs Adam Beyer at Liberty One (23 - 08-2002)' set I have.

I am trying to remember the name of an artist, a solo male act. I have very little to go on: I've never actually heard his music before.

- I'm pretty sure his (recording) name was only four letters long. It might have been two and two, separated by hyphen. Like when I first heard the name "Ne-Yo" I thought that was probably him but it's definitely definitely not.

- He plays the guitar, and apparently in unusual ways. His debut album (maybe his only?) contains only sounds made with his guitar. (I'm assuming he sings too.) I guess supposedly there was a startling variety in the sounds it contained so this was a big deal. (I thiiink he plays an acoustic but I would venture to guess they used a lot of effects and/or track layering in the studio.)

- He miiight have done some unorthodox percussion stuff too, like either tapping on his guitar's hollow body or beatboxing or soooomething. Or maybe a lot of harmonics or muting on the guitar strings. I dunno, I have this really vague recollection of something like that. Maybe I'm wrong though. He may or may not actually do this stuff on his album.

- I think he's Caucasian. I heard about him very briefly on TV, as a new artist, probably around 2005-2008. His debut album had either just been released or was about to be released. I think he had longer hair, and I don't think they played any music off of his album. It was like a snippet of an interview, and he demo'ed some of the weird stuff he liked to do on his guitar. I can't remember what he did though. At all. aehroa54yehrjio;ehr

- I feel like his debut album was either produced by Nigel Godrich, or released on Parlophone, or something that reminded me of Radiohead. Super maybe.

- Another big maybe: I think he's from New York. Like he was a crazy busking in Central Park until he was "discovered."

Oh man this sounds so dumb.

This is the chorus from an uptempo, folksy Celtic sounding song. The voice was female (think Loreena McKennitt but faster) and there might have been "away" somewhere in the refrain. I don't remember any of the words, but it's as least as old as 2006.

I found a song on Youtube and was hoping to find more by the same artist. All of the names given in the video and description seem to be incorrect however, and I'm beginning to wonder if the song name is even correct. I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help me, but it's been bothering me all day so I have to try.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8hUhw_M18w#!q=ghost%20waltz

I've search extensively for songs called Ghost Waltz, always get the same few, none of which are this one. I've searched the name Fats Kaplin that appears on the page, but while he's done a song called Ghost Waltz, it sounds completely different to this one, judging by a sample of it I found. The name Bill Higgins Burke in the description gives nothing on google, I don't know who it's supposed to be. At the end of the video it says "by J-Young" but he appears to be a rapper who, as far as I can tell from google, has never done a song sounding anything like this one, nor a song called Ghost Waltz. The whole thing is kinda baffling, really.

Also, does anyone know what genre this song would fall under? I'd like to search for more similar music regardless of whether or not I find the artist of this song, but I wouldn't know where to start looking.
