Just picked this up two days ago (camera phone pics): And from my drive way: 2011 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS, bought with 127 miles on it. I had 'Cyber Grey' rally stripes put on which you can sort of see in the last pic. When I have the time on a nice day I'm going to take it someplace picturesque and take some pics with my SLR.

Yep - a little more than a decade with Mitsubishi before finally getting my now dream car, the above Camaro.

TheKeeper posted:Just picked this up two days ago I love the exterior styling of the new Camaros but I absolutely despise the dash cluster, shame really since that's what you'd be looking at %95 of the time that you own it. Other than that I think they're pretty nice cars. I'm definitely interested to see some SLR pictures of it in the future.

Went up into the hills bordering San Jose/Santa Cruz today because it was dry for once and perfect weather for a nice drive through the mountains. Played follow the leader with an '03 GT-S, and he couldn't keep up to my humble '00 GT. First time I've really driven through tight/hard turns with the new Hankook V12s and they're pretty loving serious. Hairpin turns, steep drops, reverse banking on roads, and they won't let go, or even chirp. Also, my car is dusty as poo poo, and I really need to wash it. Been raining a ton out here and the 45 minute/15 mile commute is nothing but dusty expressways and stop and go.

Couldn't resist, nice weather, no neighbors, had to get a shot of them all while I still have them. 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 160K 2007 Mazda Mazdaspeed 6 26K 1989 Fort Escort GT, 156K Sadly my Escort is sold and will be gone by the middle of the week. The Jeep's fate is up in the air as it will cost quite a bit to get her into reliable shape again. Ideally I will fix the Jeep and keep her as my winter car so I can store the MS6 during winters.

The neighborhood I grew up in was a contract built subdivision, all the houses were built by the same contractor. Well they only had 4 or 5 house designs so each street really did look identical.

CharlesM posted:I don't think I've seen an Escort of that vintage in such good looking condition in ages. I spent entirely too much time getting the rear bumper looking good again. The driver side tail light is still a bit iffy and the hatch doesn't quite line up anymore. It's gonna need tires soon and an alignment and it has a short somewhere because it keeps draining the battery. Other than that it's a blast to drive and I was netting 34-36 mpg regularly. Anyone wanna buy it? My buyer backed out.

Freshly washed. Wheels still terrible: Will be getting it fully detailed next week and will post some better pictures then. Took a coworker for a ride today and he mentioned he'd never been in a vehicle where he was physically unable to move from his seat while accelerating.
