Also your singlet is filthy as gently caress and there is rubbish and dirty dishes strewn all over your floor. People eat with their eyes and my eyes tell me not to eat that burger because of the environment it was made in. This is burger abuse

I guess I washed it with something that leaked dye. The dishes are whatever. I didn't cook in my dirty dish room Miss Priss.

I really like meat substitutes in general, there are some excellent ones that simulate or even beat meat in taste/texture (I'm looking at you, Field Roast sausages). The ideal for me would be thin and crusty but still medium inside. It's pretty hard to do properly. I admit in my own attempts I just use grocery store ground beef so I usually end up cooking it medium well to get a nice crust while avoiding both smoking up my entire house and/or getting food poisoning. However, I have two favorite burgers in my city: one cooks it crispy outside medium inside smash burg, while the other is a thick burger, cooked medium rare with a steak like flavor but a little less crispy than I'd hope for. Both grind their own beef. The medium rare joint buys full size cattle to butcher from, meaning your burger comes from a single cow. Not sure how common that is, I imagine in more rural towns it is to be expected but here in the big city it is a pleasant rarity. e: if its not either rare or crusty it aint a good burg PS: How worth it is it to buy ground beef from the butcher for making homemade hamburgers? The price is quite a bit higher than grocery store stuff. denzelcurrypower fucked around with this message at 03:57 on Jun 19, 2015 |

Wats the price? I've never spent more than $6/lb from a grocery store, so I'm curious what a better ground chuck goes for.

Totally ok with waffle tots, but agree that syrup has no place on a burg. Replace that with some aioli and mustard and game on.
