Is Jeopardy! back to normal come Monday? Can I tune in again? And can we try to avoid creeps in the thread over Kirsten?

A whole category about the black history museum. Has anyone else noticed Jeopardy! doing more robocop stuff lately? Also I hate the clue crew. All their clues take up too much time. I bet the game ended with leftover clues because the clue crew category took up too much time. And their clues are badly written; the first 80% of the clue is just about the special location, and you only need like the last 20% to figure out the answer. The whole thing is a waste of time. The clue crew was only invented imo to get more normies and casuals interested in the game. "Here's cool young attractive people going to interesting places! See, Jeopardy! isn't just for boring old people."

Sad to Kirsten go, but she didn't wager well tonight. Doesn't seem like she'll be back for ToC either.

The person on the bottom of the current Jeopardy ToC tracker, Phillip Tiu, only won 3. Still, the tracker doesn't seem to have added her though. Maybe it hasn't updated yet? https://www.jeopardy.com/tournaments/tournament-tracker

ToC is based on the money you win, not number of games Kirsten had only won like 50 grand in 4 games, not a good average

For that Star Wars clue, they were obiously going for C3PO and R2D2, but if you were a Star Wars nerd and could name two other robots from the movie, they would have had to accept it, right? There was another clue crew video category again today, and again they didn't finish all the clues

Ein cooler Typ posted:ToC is based on the money you win, not number of games Nah, it's based off of games won. A contestant who won more games but less money gets the slot over someone who won more money but less games.

I thought the minimum was 5 or $100k. On the tracker, though, no one won as little as she did. E: If they did a fan favorites thing like they did for the anniversary tournament, I'm sure all the creepers would vote for her.

Colonial Air Force posted:I thought the minimum was 5 or $100k. I got the feeling she was tuning something down this week. Were her clothes worse, maybe? The random twitches were the same, but maybe fewer smiles. Anyway, she was more likeable and relatable this week as she kept searching for someone who wouldn't fail harder and let her oopsie her way into yet another win.

Do contestants really have to take 2 weeks off when the Tournaments occur?

Shimrra Jamaane posted:Do contestants really have to take 2 weeks off when the Tournaments occur? I don't think so. According to Arthur Chu, his streak was interrupted during airing by the Battle of the Decades, yet he was back taping his next set of episodes the next day. Also, according to Lilly Chin on reddit, the College Championship games were taped in January, but a recent champ (I forget if it was Kirsten or someone else) told us in the Facebook group that her episodes were taped on election day and a lot of the contestants were devastated the next morning. Guess it depends on when the producers schedule the tapings. GhostStalker fucked around with this message at 03:28 on Mar 2, 2017 |

They tape 5 shows a day, two days in a row, then take a 2 week break. So for 20 games they only tape 4 days So if you win on the last game of the cycle you have to take a two week break.
