I feel like this may be cheating, but what good is a trip to China if I can't gently caress around with food I can't get in the states for one reason or another. My Chinese colleague and I had never had them, so we ate the hell out of some bugs.  One more for the money shot: Turns out silkworm chrysales are genuinely tasty when fried and people eat them for a reason. Would, did, will again.

I missed out on some prime AFP yesterday. The local Catholic church held a Jamaica, which I understand to be some kind of church fundraiser masquerading as an explosion of the weirdest authentic Mexican street food.
