Could having this much mentholyptus (and whatever else) in my system potentially be bad?

I doubt it, but honestly I don't know the answer to that question. The bag would have some sort of warning if there were a chance of O.D., I'd assume.

What I wanted to say was I think you should get some sudafed (or similar stuff) and use that, not cough drops.

Right on. A few years ago I had a stopped up feeling ear that I just ignored for a week or two and it ended up bursting my ear drum. :(
The Doc told me I was prone to ear infections and should use sudafed when there was an issue, so I thought I should pass it along. Bursting ear drums are not a pleasant feeling. :)

Before moving to Iowa in 2007, I'd had one ear infection ever. Since then, I've had at least five, two of which were among the most painful experiences in my life. It was only after the fourth that I discovered that civilian Sudafed is absolutely useless, and since then I only use the stuff you have to sign for.

My 'goal' is to get two ear infections in one month such that I hit the legal limit for buying meth-grade Sudafed. I wonder if opening my mouth and showing them my throat would count as a waiver. ... then again, I'm sure there'd be some freaks who would keep themselves sick deliberately just to score more cooking materials.

Have you been tested for allergies? It's possible that the aggravation of pollen and whatnot could be contributing to ear infection. Also, try afrin if you get stopped up. It is perfectly safe when used as directed (i.e. don't use it for more than three days or whatever the box says).

I'm positive it's allergies, but it tends to come along pretty fast. I suppose I should start taking allergy medication just as a precaution. It's like it attacks my ear first, skipping my nose. I woke up Saturday morning with a sore throat and a mostly clear nose. In fact, my ear infections almost always manifest only as an intensely sore throat, and then progressing to nasal stuff, etc., with me feeling an urge to pop my ears, but the actual symptoms are centered in my throat.

You could just try OTC medicine if it's a case of wax build up. You essentially pour a liquid down your ear canal and rinse it out after a few hours. I suffer from this from time to time; the first time required a clinic visit because of the pain. Now I've learned to recognise the symptoms and know how to rinse it out myself, even without medicine.

I had ear pain and it made my ear hurt even after it got better, for a couple years then once a day pain twinges for another year or two. I waited a couple days before I went and got it checked, it was really bad. Seconding the 'get it checked asap'. Also, a friend of mine's dad is an ENT, and he said to me once: when you have an ear problem, don't gently caress around, go to an ENT immediately.

If it's to the point where he can barely hear, the OTC stuff isn't gonna work well. He's gonna have to get a good flushing at the doctor's. The hearing sensations you get after the wax washes off is incredible; enjoy it.

I went to the clinic about a month and a half or so ago, she said it was a viral infection that should clear up. Well, it hasn't, and I don't respond to decongestants (it's not wax, it's various immune response fluids), so I guess it's time for another trip anyway.

May as well replace that copper piping anyhow... isnt there something newere than pvc they are using now... I'll pick up a handman book and see how bad I can gently caress it up until I need a plumber.

Go for it; it's rewarding. So much of plumbing is really just having the right tool and a very small amount of knowledge.
I'm loving useless, mechanically, and I've replaced sections of copper pipe All By Myself -after doing it with someone else a couple times. The keys are absolute dryness (blowtorch and the right angle), flux, a circular pipe cutter ($3-4), solder (that's the daunting-sounding part; it ain't) , and the fittings. Old plumber's trick: jam some crust-free Wonder Bread™ up in the pipe to sponge up water that is trickling down to destroy your soldering job. It will just dissolve and disappear eventually.

^As you say though, that stuff has all been obviated, mostly. Just use some PVC; it will be even easier -just less interesting.

Also, there is someone at your local hardware store (not the big box) that would love to tell you all about it.

There's a very high chance it's just ear wax buildup. Even if you're sure your ears are clean.

Get an ear syringe, fill it with warm water and go nuts squirting it in your ear over and over. There's a good chance that will clear it up.

Thanks guys, I found that very same site with some better googlings and it works like a charm. I guess I was thinking that it was more like UCPs that had to be registered to work, rather than just that simple data like a URL can all be contained in that graphic. Are there any taggers for OS X that actually lookup up the info on the internet? I do not want to hand enter tag info, I want the tagger to enter the info for me.

I appreciate the suggestion, but.. Tag&rename works by hooking into Amazon (and FreeDB if they are still around) and recognizes the CD without fail. For foreign language CDs you can choose which country's Amazon to use so you get the titles in the native language if you can read it, or in a romanized form if you do not.

What Tag&Rename is so completely effective it seems a shame that no one has written a program that does this for the Mac. I have Tag&Rename but I do not have a Japanese capable windows computer to use it on. (All my BootCamp installs are corrupted, and other peoples computers are not set up to rad Japanese..)

I tired Picard but it still tries to recognize each individual song, rather than the album as a whole, and apparently knows none of the music I am trying to tag.

Google's URL shortener http://goo.gl can create QR codes as well. Just create your goog.gl URL, then append .qr to the end for the QR code. So if your code is goo.gl/abcd, just enter in goog.gl/abcd.qr and you'll get a QR code for your URL.

What's nice about Google URL shortener is that is tracks click and scans, so you can see who is using your code in real time.
