since race is socially constructed, believing that anyone "is" any race is delusional, but afaik you can't call a belief a disorder until it's negatively effecting your life, like by making you lose friends, or jobs. i guess my hot take is that any degree of racist belief is negatively effecting to the believer, whatever benefits it may seem to give those who believe they are "white"

My gf has tried to have some sort of relationship with her as an adult but her mom is such a massive piece of poo poo that I finally refused to go to anymore holiday events with the two of them because her mom would inevitably start pushing my gf's buttons and the whole day would turn into an extended argument. Then we'd go home and my gf would be mad about it for an entire week while her mom sent her batshit texts. It's loving impossible to deal with.

There are four personality disorders in Cluster B: Antisocial, borderline, histrionic, and narcissistic personality disorder. People with any of them can get therapy and become a better person, but they have to want to get better. With NPD, being abusive to others is one of the diagnostic criteria, and with ASPD, assault and crimes in general are part of the diagnostic criteria. BPD and HPD are more treatable, and people with these conditions are more likely to recognize the problem and want to get better.

Even if a full on communist somehow became potus I dunno if I could believe that funding for healthcare, education, infrastructure, social safety nets, or whatever would really happen, it'd all just go through committees and institutions that rung out 99 pennies on the dollar to pay nepo kids salaries before it got anywhere useful. More or less same reason I don't bother with charities.
