The irony of the "you never try" thing is that they are literally in the #1 environment where they are degraded and invalidated and any negative thing about them is highlighted and amplified. I've never seen a woman get poo poo for not wearing makeup either though? Sure, they usually look a lot more "worn out" without makeup so they miught get people concerned for their well being (and only if they used to wear makeup otherwise no one gives a gently caress) but I've never heard anyone get poo poo on for not wearing makeup. Is that something that happens in America?
