They got to chatting with the waiter, and next thing I know, our menu's got swapped out for the Chinese version. We had our friend order for us and it was amazing. I don't even remember what some of it was, but I know one was pig intestine and another dish was a very spicy pork mix. It was amazing. Up until that point I thought Asian food = Low Mein. My wife is originally from Vietnam so now I'm spoiled on home cooked southern Vietnamese cooking from my mother-in-law. Home made Bun Rieu and Chả giò have spoiled me.

This obviously has all the same problems that positive exceptionalism has.
