honestly when i saw that the weapons link was picking up broke in 5 swings i made a face but..one that was surely an early build of the game, two this is nintendo and i trust they've found ways to make open world fun that isn't just "collect these things and you unlock something overpowered"

Just going by the trailers I've seen so far, I think the issue with open world Zelda would be the lack of progress or feeling of progress. There's stuff like random enemy drops from the sky like in FFXV, but at least there you get xp/items for killing them, while in Zelda you get some Rupees. Which you probably already maxxed out hours ago anyway. Talking out my rear end I admit, but that's a problem I can see for myself

the main hook for me is that they've shown some fun rear end items. like psychic levitating gloves that pick up boulders and metal boxes..combine that with walking into an MGS5 style outpost of moblins you got a fun time. but tbh i'm gonna wait on reviews, i'm very cautious about open world anything, especially when nearly every open world game has glaring flaws that really kill the game
