loving GW - 2 opponents in a row that went on 15+ matching streaks. Back to back. Not so much with board control, more just match 4, match 5, match 4 over and loving over. Cascaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaade. I'm playing with a team rated around 9100 and getting beat by teams in the 8000-8200 range.LOL this is stupid

As low man in Gem Boiz should I be doing all of my guild war attacks? Obviously I'm going to lose every attack (seeing as how I don't have many 4* yet) and only contribute a few hundred points, I just want to be sure the other team isn't gaining anything from me going 0-5.

Seemed like every time I made a match it dropped either skulls or a 4-match for the AI. And then for the final match there were two different occasions where I had to choose between allowing a skull match that would kill my troop, or allowing a 4-match that would fill an opposing troop and let it kill my troop with its spell. The opposing guild gets nothing from your loss. The opposing players get a pittance in glory, souls, and gold, but nothing related to Guild Wars. Edit: hot drat, Izno is off to a strong start from within our Soldier tier. And, as expected, Pisnotron will likely take advantage of my off day to steal Paragon at the end of the week. The game froze as I cast Valkyrie and, when it recovered, the AI ended up will all the resulting matches. This was a crucial move near the end of a difficult game, from which I couldn't recover. Cost me 1200 points and my rightful place as Champion. Good to see folks down below kicking rear end. Seems like only a handful of us actually play GW.

Well today sucked. Lost two fights. First one took 15 minutes until I lost to all the constant mana drains and the second took 15 seconds, Sand worm charged on the first turn Pestilence on the second, no, gently caress you too game.

Ok, they really need a score breakdown after each match. I scored mid 1300s for my first match. I assume it was because it lasted so long or something. My second I lost one troop but scored 1376. Then my next two matches I won pretty solidly but not super quickly and no big cascades. I got a devour in the third and a devour and death mark kill on the last which I thought didn't count for points. My scores ended up being 1599 and 1654 for those two though.

For the second day in a row, I got screwed over by my gem spawners, leading to a dragged out fight taking tons of damage and obliterating my score. Maybe I'll remember not to get cute on the third day.

If you have Dragon Armor, then buy 50 gems chests, or event chests if you are looking for a specific legendary. For instance, Khorvash is one of the best troops in the game. He is available in this week's event chest, and next week's glory troop will offer the stones needed to trait him. Therefore, if you don't have a Khorvash, spend your gems on event keys this week. code:

In general, I recommend keeping a 1350-gem reserve. This is two 50-packs of event keys, useful for when you really want a particular legendary that is refusing to drop from event chests. I built mine up 100 at a time -- I'd only buy a 50-pack of gem chests after I had saved 550 gems. Not that much longer, all told, and having the reserve is nice for things like Highforge last week. I spent 330 event keys before getting any copies of that stupid dwarf. Khorvash is one of those "must-have" legendaries, so I would be going balls-out trying to get him this week while you have a greatly increased chance to do so. Start saving next week.

3rd opponent in today's guild war was 2x Humility/Draakulis/Plague. :eyeroll: That's a lovely team to face even with a regular pvp team. Good luck beating it with an on-color team, and what is the point of gw if you end up using a regular pvp team? They need to get those defense team changes done asap.

Spirit Fox or Desdaemona against Humility+Draak, for anyone that follows. Don't try to use Kraken in a looping team. It will not go well (from past experience; thankfully I drew a different third battle than what grrarg dealt with). I'd lean toward Desdaemona, since she'll let you keep Nyx on your team as an "oh poo poo" measure if Draak does manage to fill himself.

Green day is easy day with Wulfie/Forest Guardian/Krystenax/Sylvanimora, so the double Humility team was a cakewalk. Unfortunately Devour appears to count very little - if anything - with the new scoring system, which means 5 very fast wins with close to 0 damage suffered only got me 7500pts.

guild wars used to always have the first and second opponent be lower strength or equal to mine so i could at least get 2 or 3 wins but now im going against teams 2k points higher right off the bat

Something where the lower level guys can feel like they are fully contributing rather than banging their heads against a brick wall for nothing. Sure the easier wins will give less points even with 5 but at least it would be a win rather than a string of losses.

Nothing like having to kill the same drat thing three loving times because it keeps coming back. A Jarl that's lucky enough to keep looping reds is a loving bastard. So now you just need to cover blue, yellow and green. What good Red/Yellow troops are there? I could see Valkyrie if the AI picks the right colors.

Abyssal Banner Wisp*** Mist Stalker*** Wisp*** Wisp*** Yeah, that is +6 mana on each purple match. Guaranteed to fill a Wisp from zero, and a surge will go a long way towards that Mist Stalker (and Mist Stalker goes after the weakest enemy, so you're more likely to score kills). Edit: oh my god, I forgot that Mist Stalker gains bonus magic for each red ally. Mine would be doing 29 true damage with each cast.
